This site offers a few easy scholarships with spring deadlines. One is the All About Education Scholarship with an April 30th deadline. Simply be at least thirteen years old, planning to enroll in college and complete a profile for ScholarshipExperts.com. They ask a question “How will a $3,000 scholarship for education make a difference in your life?” pretty easy, right? You’re answer must be concise with 250 words or less. They have another spring scholarship called the $2,500 Superpower Scholarship. This is a free scholarship search engine with a A+ BBB grade and they’ve been around since 2001 so no trust issues here. When it comes to finding a comprehensive list of scholarships that fit your criteria, signing up to a bunch of these is always a good idea. The due date for this one was March 31st, but they do these annually so be on the lookout.
The College Jumpstart Scholarship Fund is a great way to earn a little extra cash for school with a 250 word essay or less. Their motto is Hard work, perseverance and love of learning. Apply to this scholarship by answering one of three questions:
- What are your educational goals?
- How will winning this scholarship help you attain your goals?
- Write about a time when “hard work” paid off.
The deadline is April 15th so there’s still a little bit of time if you hurry. Just make sure that your essays are thoughtful and detailed so as to be worthy of the $1,500 scholarship. The eligibility requirements for all their scholarships are that applicants be in 10th through 12th grade, be a non-traditional student planning to enroll within 12 months or are already a college student. Only legal US citizens are eligible to apply and you must be sure that all application details are accurate and complete. College Jumpstart offers annual scholarships with deadlines on October 17th and April 15th.
This scholarship from Livescribe, the developer of the Echo and Pulse smartpens, offers a $500 scholarship plus a 4GB pen, ear buds, 5 notebooks and a deluxe carrying case to anyone who can best answer how they’re able to stay stress-free. To apply just visit the Zinch website and fill out the form. This is open to either high school or college students. Lightscribe Smartpens are interesting little devices that contain a micro computer inside with the ability to record everything you write and hear, kind of like a toy spypen but way more expensive. You can save your notes on your computer by docking your smartpen and using the Livescribe Desktop software. But what I think is cool is the ability to save email or Facebook messages by writing the word “Email” or “Facebook” on a piece of paper so that when you dock your smartpen to your computer, these messages are automatically sent. Deadline for the scholarship is April 30th.
