Ultimately her passion for music prevailed and she left Columbia University and started selling millions of records.
The Christopher Reeve Award
From the actor who played his most famous role as Superman comes a celebrity scholarship worth one grand to eligible students. This program is headed by The Heart of America Foundation with various sponsors who provide the monetary award. Like the invincible heroic do-gooder, students should exhibit “tremendous compassion and caring in serving his or her community”. No need being faster than a speeding bullet or more powerful than a locomotive to apply for this scholarship either, it takes nominations from people not related to the high school senior planning to attend college.
