Well, the month of July is upon us so here’s a list of easy scholarships with approaching deadlines. Getting as much of a head start that you can get is a good idea. They range in purpose but are all fairly general with expansive eligibility requirements. This award is open to high school seniors heading to a post-secondary institution and college students. It’s a $1,000 scholarship that requires applicants have at least a 3.0 GPA and compose an essay between 1,000 and 1,600 words in length on the essay topic given. The deadline is July 1.

$1,000 Safe Driver Scholarship

This scholarship requires applicants to select one safe driving program from a car insurance company and, after completion, submit some form of social awareness on safe driving which could include video, essay or artwork. The application can be completed on the website and is open to anyone attending or planning to attend college. The deadline is July 1.

Resume Companion’s $1,000 Scholarship Giveaway

Open to students that reside in the states or international students. Also, no minimum GPA required to apply. The application is unique as it requires students to create a resume “of any fictional or non-fictional character, from TV, history, literature or myth.” This can be fun or serious, depends on who you choose to build a resume for. TheHealthy.com Scholarship

This scholarship from the online magazine TheHealthy.com requires and online application to be completed as well as an essay. You have three essay topics to choose from to write your 500 minimum word essay on. The scholarship is worth $500 and the deadline is July 15.

The SweatBlock “Social Confidence” Scholarship

The SweatBlock “Social Confidence” Scholarship is worth $2,000 to the student who can best write an essay (500 and 1,000 words long) concerning one of the topics given on the site. The eligibility for the scholarship requires no minimum GPA and is open to all students no matter what degree you are seeking. Submit your essay by the deadline July 15.

Goedeker College Scholarship

This is an annual textbook scholarship from Goedekers that requires an essay of at least 300 words. To enter you must have a 3.0 GPA. Submit your essay by the deadline July 31.
