Well, summer is upon us. You may be thinking that means fun in the sun, beach parties and cookouts. Wrong! (Just kidding). You’re right…again (sigh). But it can also mean a great time to double down on your scholarship hunt! Think about it. It’s a good idea to take advantage of those years prior to entering the workforce (i.e. college graduation) and spend a considerable amount of time applying for easy scholarships. Many adults do not have the luxury of all that free time, 3 whole months, with no real obligation. Alright, enough rambling. Here they are!

+U Scholarship

The +U $10,000 Scholarship is very simple and straightforward that selects five winners each year. The deadline to apply for is June 30th, 2014. You must be at least 14 years of age and currently enrolled or enrolled no later than the start of fall in 2019, the school must be an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. You also need to have legal residency in the US or District of Columbia. This is an easy scholarship to apply for, just take a look at one off the five pictures they have listed on the site and describe in 50 words how it pertains to success after college.

Yconic Scholarship Sweepstakes

Yconic is offering another easy scholarship that only asks applicants to fill out a bit of information on their site. It’s actually a scholarship sweepstakes where those who are currently enrolled in a United States High School or institute of higher education can apply. If you apply by June 25th, 2014, you can be eligible to be entered into two drawings worth $5,000 and $7,500 respectfully.

The Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship

This is definitely a meaningful scholarship worth $1,250 to eligible applicants. All they ask of you is to write a 500 word essay on one of the two questions 1) “Why is it important to work to delete cyberbullying?” or 2) “How has cyberbullying personally affected you?” The application can be completed entirely online and all entries must be made by June 30th, 2014. To be eligible, you must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary institution while also being a legal resident of the United States.

Being creative when looking for some extra help for schooling is going to be a big bonus that will surely help pay off in the long run. Don’t let this summer pass by without winning at least one scholarship. There are billions of dollars worth of free money out there specifically intended for college expenses.
