Educational Advancement Foundation

The Educational Advancement Foundation offers a few easy scholarships in an effort to promote lifelong learning. Their Undergraduate Scholarship only requires a 3.0 GPA and a paragraphs length essay explaining your career goals and how this scholarship will help you achieve those goals. This one is merit-based. They also offer need-based scholarships to those who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA or C+ average. Simply prove that you are in financial need by filling out their Financial Need Analysis form and send a transcript of grades to be eligible. Both of these scholarships also prefer those who are active in the community.

NSHSS Academic Paper Awards

The National Society of High School Scholars awards students $250 who’ve submitted the best paper they’ve written for a past assignment. This is an easy scholarship since you’re turning in a paper you’ve already written for class. Whether that be a book report, an essay for English class or any other written paper you feel is worthy of monetary recognition; if it received a high grade and you’re pretty proud of it, submitting it to NSHSS might win you $250. To be eligible you must have a 3.5 GPA and be a member of the organization (read a list of 2.5 minimum GPA scholarships if grades aren’t that high). Membership is by invitation only. To be invited, you must meet any one of the criteria below:

    • 1750 SAT score or higher
    • 200 PSAT score or higher
    • 26 ACT score or higher
    • Score 4 or higher on any AP exam
    • Score 5 or higher on any IB exam
    • 3.5 Cumulative GPA (4.0 Scale) or higher (or equivalent GPA)
    • Top 10% rank in class

Horatio Alger Association Scholarships

This easy scholarship only requires a 2.0 GPA which isn’t difficult to achieve at all. It’s a need-based program and has varying deadline dates for specific schools across the nation. To see if your school is included, just visit the website. This organization offers various scholarships of different amounts in every state in the country. This organization desires to encourage youth to pursue the American Dream by hard work, dedication and honesty. They understand that because of hard financial situations, it might be difficult to achieve that so they offer generous scholarships to eligible members.

Walmart Associate Scholarship

If you’re on the search for a new job with a nice set of benefits, Walmart offers a financial need-based scholarship to employees who’ve worked for the company for at least six months, either part or full-time. They’ll provide different award amounts depending on the type of post-secondary institution you attend. For instance, if enrolling to a four-year college and completing 7-11 credit hours, they’ll distribute $1,125 to pay for classes. If at a community college, you’ll receive only $750. This is a renewable scholarship as long as you maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. There’s a selection committee that judges that chooses the recipients. They prefer those who are in financial need and are active in the community. Walmart also provides easy scholarships for dependents of Walmart associates.

The iModules Scholarship

iModules is a company that helps colleges and other post-secondary institutions with web development and communication needs among other things. Their scholarship has been active since 2008 and they’ve actually increased the amount of scholarships they offer over the years. The program is open to students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll to an iModules client (a post-secondary institution that uses their service). You also need to be a full-time student and have at least a “C” grade point average. All that’s needed to apply is to create an account, fill out an application form and compose a 250 word essay.

Akademos / TexbookX.com Scholarship

This easy scholarship comes from TexbookX.com and awards monies to the grand prize winner who can write a decent essay on a given question. For the year 2013, the grand prize was $1,000 and three runner-ups received $250. The only eligibility standard for this scholarship is that you be an undergraduate student who maintains, at least, a 2.0 GPA. If you have time on a weekend during the school year or on summer vacation, just write up a few paragraphs answering the question, fill out an application and wait to see if you’ve won. They have a list of past winners where you can view other essays to get an idea of what they expect.

KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program

Who knew chicken would be this good? This scholarship only requires a 2.7 GPA and awards up to $5,000 per academic year (maximum $20,000 for four years). If you can demonstrate financial need while enrolled at a two or four-year institution, and are dedicated in pursuing a bachelor’s degree, you’ll keep seeing those extra crispy bills flowing your way giving you financial peace of mind. This is a very generous scholarship given to those who have the potential to ]excel in life, but could use some help paying for tuition. So grab yourself a few side dishes and head over to the KFC’s Scholar website and apply for this simple scholarship.

The Drive to Learn Scholarship

This scholarship comes from ShiftInsurance.com and awards $1,000 and simply asks a learning experience you received from driving or from being a passenger. This is an annual scholarship with a March 1st deadline. Each new term begins on June 1st. A 750-1000 word essay response is required to one of the questions.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program

Coca-Cola is very generous offering 200 Regional Scholars $10,000 for college and 50 National Scholars $50,000. This is a merit-based scholarship for those who can maintain at least a 3.0 GPA as well as meeting other eligibility criteria. Out of a pool of 2,200 eligible applicants, 250 finalist will be selected to receive funding for college. They’ll be invited to Atlanta for interviews by a National Selection Committee by prominent leaders in government, education and business. They also offer scholarships for students at community colleges. Being prudent and applying for other scholarships like this one – the ones that select a large number of winners – will definitely increase your chances of winning something for school.

JustJobs Scholarship Program

This easy scholarship comes from a job searching website. In order to be able to participate, your school must be registered to the site, be a full-time student, Like their Facebook page and complete the online scholarship form. They award $3,000 each year to a lucky winner.

The Parker Waichman Scholarship

This scholarship only requires a 300-500 essay explaining any current law at the local, state or national level. The scholarship award is $1,000 and the deadline is July 31st

Nordstrom Ten 4 U Scholarship

The Nordstrom Scholarship Program offers $10,000 to students who can maintain at least a 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Other eligibility requirements include being a high school junior, have been active in the community, reside in a state designated by Nordstrom and are planning to attend a four-year college or university. If you’re selected, you’ll receive the award amount in installments of $2,500. Nordstrom has been offering scholarships since 1994 so if you don’t get it this time, there’s always next year. Additionally, this award is given to 80 students a year so very generous. Just make sure your application is of high quality and hope for the best.

This site offers a few easy scholarships with spring deadlines. One is the All About Education Scholarship with an April 30th deadline. Simply be at least thirteen years old, planning to enroll in college and complete a profile for ScholarshipExperts.com. They ask a question “How will a $3,000 scholarship for education make a difference in your life?” pretty easy, right? You’re answer must be concise with 250 words or less. They have another spring scholarship called the $2,500 Superpower Scholarship. This is a free scholarship search engine with a A+ BBB grade and they’ve been around since 2001 so no trust issues here. When it comes to finding a comprehensive list of scholarships that fit your criteria, signing up to a bunch of these is always a good idea. The due date for this one was March 31st, but they do these annually so be on the lookout.

College JumpStart Scholarship Fund

The College Jumpstart Scholarship Fund is a great way to earn a little extra cash for school with a 250 word essay or less. Their motto is Hard work, perseverance and love of learning. Apply to this scholarship by answering one of three questions:

  1. What are your educational goals?
  2. How will winning this scholarship help you attain your goals?
  3. Write about a time when “hard work” paid off.

The deadline is April 15th so there’s still a little bit of time if you hurry. Just make sure that your essays are thoughtful and detailed so as to be worthy of the $1,500 scholarship. The eligibility requirements for all their scholarships are that applicants be in 10th through 12th grade, be a non-traditional student planning to enroll within 12 months or are already a college student. Only legal US citizens are eligible to apply and you must be sure that all application details are accurate and complete. College Jumpstart offers annual scholarships with deadlines on October 17th and April 15th.

PicMonkey.com $1,000 Scholarship

This is an easy scholarship that only requires that you take a survey and compose a 400-500 word essay. This scholarship is for high school seniors and college freshmen.

Mission Vacation Scholarship

Concerned about the lack of time-off Americans have each year? No? Well if you were you’d be eligible to win a $500 scholarship. All you have to do is answer two questions, one in 500 words or less and the other under 200 words, and send it by March 31 to Mission Vacation. Mission Vacation operates a Mission Beach Vacation Rental business over in Pacific Beach, San Diego, California. They help locate vacation properties to individuals interested in renting out to best fit their needs. Find delectable locations with names like “Pacific Dream”, “Surf Rider” and “Sunny Beachfront Getaway” to escape the harsh realities of the 9 to 5.

Streamline Refinance Scholarship

This scholarship is open student pursuing advanced education in the fields of finance, economics or investment. It’ll award eligible students who have maintained at least a 3.0/4.0 GPA a $1,000 scholarship. Simply compose a 500-1,000 word essay responding to the question given and complete the application which can be downloaded from the website. Definitely a program for those into easy scholarships and are pursuing economic related degrees. Be sure to complete your application and essay and have it in by December 15.

Foreclosure.com’s $5,000 Scholarship

Foreclosure.com typically offers an annual scholarship program with the top prize winning $5,000 and four runner-ups winning $1,000. This scholarship is open to college students and only requires an 800-1,200 word essay. The deadline is normally in December.

Goedeker’s College Scholarship

This is a $500 textbook scholarship that requires a 300 word minimum essay and is open to all attending college (non-traditional students, any major, graduate and undergraduate are eligible). However, you must have a 3.0 GPA minimum. They’ll also award two $100 runner-up scholarships. The deadline is July 31.

The JonesTshirt.com Scholarship

This scholarship will award $1,000 to the best essay (500-1,000 words) written. Simply post your essay online (Tumbler, WordPress, Blogger, etc) and provide the link on the scholarship page.

$10,000 +U Scholarship

Five chosen applicants who answer a few questions and explain how they see their success continuing after college graduation, will be given a free $10,000 scholarship. Applicants must register on the site, select one of the five given pictures, and then state in 50 words how the selected image defines what they see their success being after college. To apply, applicants must be at least 14 years or older at the time they submit their application and be a legal resident of the United States or a legal resident of the District of Columbia; They must also be currently enrolled (or enrolled no later than 2019) to an accredited institution of higher education. Submissions must be completed and submitted before 11:59 p.m on June 30th, 2014 in order to be considered. Essays and applications are evaluated on creativity, how well it’s written, and whether or not the applicant followed all the rules.

EmergencyLights.net Scholarship

This scholarship is wroth $1,000 and asks for a video entry and a 500 word engaging essay that you’ll submit through their website. You must be at least 13 years old, a high school senior or already enrolled in a college or university. The deadline is December 15.

The Bill of Rights Institute Asks We the Students

The We the Students Scholarship contest from the Bill of Rights Institute will ask students about points relating to the constitution. These include points relating to how important the constitution is and how it is still relevant to this day. The best students who enter into this program and explain what the famed document means for them will receive as much as $4,000 while awards of $500 are available for other students as well. This scholarship has a filing deadline of December 5.
